Grab A Bite
International Smoke
Celebrity entrepreneur, television host and New York Times best-selling author, Ayesha Curry, teamed up with Chef Michael Mina to open up this wildly popular one-of-a-kind restaurant. Currently open for patio dining, International Smoke is a MUST TRY, with to-die-for worldly-flavored dishes. Start off with a “Boozie and Bougie” Cocktail, like the “Lilikoi Mai Tai,” with Havana Club Rum, Goslings, lilikoi, pineapple and lime. Impress your company and order the “Shellfish Platter” for the table, overflowing with: Pacific Oysters, Gulf Shrimp, Maine Lobster and Alaskan King Crab. To start, we absolutely LOVE the Ahi Tuna Sashimi with crispy onions and serrano chili, drizzled with yuzu ponzu sauce, or the “Truffle Cesar Salad” with gem lettuce, sweet onion crema, parmesan cheese, garlic streusel and truffle dressing. You cannot go wrong with ANY entree, but our favorites are definitely the “Miso Chilean Sea Bass,” made with watermelon radish, bok choy, daikon sprouts and mushroom dashi and the “Spicy Yaki Udon Noodles” with market vegetables, bean sprouts, toasted cashews and sprinkled with chili garlic sauce. And absolutely do NOT leave International Smoke without trying a side of “Sweet and Sour Brussel Sprouts” and “Truffle Whipped Potatoes”- absolutely life changing!
North Italia
At North Italia, Chefs put their ALL into every detail of creation, with new favorites made from scratch daily! Treat yourself to the most CRAVE-worthy Italian food in North County, and sit out on the patio in style. If you are out with friends, start off with the “Italian Spritzer Kit,” and have a blast learning to craft cocktails with an Italian flare. To start, you can’t go wrong with either the “Chef’s Board,” filled to perfection with prosciutto di parma, pecorino toscano, crescenza, grilled piquillo pepper, pesto zucchini, castelvetrano olive, marcona almond, fig mostarda and grilled bread, or the “Italian Meatballs,” served with creamy polenta, rustic marinara and grana padano. Our entree favorites are definitely the “Diver Scallops” served with asparagus, sweet corn risotto, lemon gremolata, crisp shallot and garden herbs and the “Squid Ink Mafaldine” rich with white shrimp, calamari, acqua pazza, mint, fennel pollen and Calabrian chilli.
Caffeinate
Parakeet Cafe
A little birdie told us that breakfast is served ALL day at Parakeet Cafe (Tweet Tweet), so your Avocado Toast and Belgain Waffle dreams do not have to die at noon, and with five toasts to choose from, Parakeet Cafe is truly a DCT (dream come true). A few of our breakfast favs have to be the “Chilaquiles,” served with baked tortillas, guajillo chile salsa, feta, guacamole, pico de gallo, pickled onions and two over-easy eggs and the “Mushroom Toast,” with spinach pesto, white truffle oil, goat cheese, arugula and avocado, topped with an organic poached egg. Caffeinate with either the “Cacao Chai Latte” with Oak Milk or the “Iced Matcha With A Twist,” with Ceremonial matcha and blue spirulina.
Joe & The Juice
For the healthiest vitamin boost or an energy-boosting cup of JOE, check out the Coffee Shop & Juice Bar everyone is talking about- Joe & The Juice. Our absolute favorite juice blends are easily “Sex Me Up,” made with passion fruit, ginger and apple, “Young Blood,” made with celery, lemon and apple and “Iron Man,” made with kiwi, strawberry and apple. SHAKE it up with the “Avo Shake,” blended with avocado, banana and vanilla milk or the “Power Shake,” made with strawberry, banana and vanilla milk. If you are looking for a quick energy boost, try the “Pink Latte,” with espresso and milk or the ONE CAL “Cold Brew.”
