Last month, I participated in a two-day, intensive forum attended by 45 of Sotheby’s International Realty’s "Market Leaders", its highest producing agents and Brokers, world-wide. This elite group of professionals, of which I am a member, represents the most luxurious properties in Sotheby’s magnificent international collection. Hosted in New York City by Gary Barnett, Founder and Chairman of Extell Development Company, our group had the unique privilege of being the first to experience the unveiling of Extell's "Central Park West", Manhattan’s newest architectural landmark, that will top off at 1,550 feet above the City, solidifying it as the World’s tallest residential building.
This annual event gives me and my colleagues the opportunity not only to collaborate on Best Practices and Strategic Growth Initiatives within the Luxury Real Estate space, but also to share our clients’ properties with each other. We have found that through our vast global network, the probability that one of the attendees has a buyer for another attendee’s listing is dramatically increased.
Although we recognize and embrace the value of the internet, social media and print advertising when marketing our clients' properties, we understand that the single most valuable factor in marketing luxury properties is, and always will be, the “personal” component, that is, the relationships we have with each other and the personal connection we establish with our clients. This connection allows us to represent our clients’ properties at the highest level and ensure that the most successful Realtors are exposed to our listings.
