San Diego Opera’s 2013 season will open with a flourish on January 26 at the San Diego Civic Theater. A Grand Soiree will feature a formal gala, dinner, dancing, and the premiere of the Opera’s first performance of the year.
The 48th International Season will kick off with the classic Donizeti comedy The Daughter of the Regiment. Opening Night guests will begin the evening with a black-tie reception in the opulent Salon Magnifique, followed by the premiere showing of The Daughter of the Regiment. After the show, guests will be treated to a gourmet dinner, dancing to live music, and a festive French-influenced soiree.
