This Sunday, January 22, from 3 pm to 7 pm, Mainly Mozart invites you to a rendezvous with Mozart at Versailles, a fundraising soirée to support Mainly Mozart. Join other benefactors to sip champagne as you're treated to a classical concert featuring costumed musicians. You'll also enjoy a gourmet French buffet and have the chance to bid on luxury items in a silent auction. Proceeds from the event will benefit Mainly Mozart, an organization dedicated to bringing the best classical musicians to San Diego.
The evening features concertmaster and violinist William Preucil and pianist Joanne Pearce Martin. Highlights of the afternoon's menu include a crab salad with avocados and saffron lemon aioli and an escargot turnover with garlic parsley butter, as well as classic French desserts, such as chocolate macaroons and crêpes. The silent auction is simply not to be missed. Among other exclusive packages is a deluxe, six-night Parisian rendez-vous for two. Stay at the world-renowned Hôtel Fouquet's Barrière on the Champs Elysées. Other items include travel, private concerts, spa retreats, and timeshares.
The Rendez-vous will take place at the opulent Westgate Hotel in San Diego. Tickets cost $275 ($125 tax-deductible) and can be purchased through the event page. Cocktail attire is required.
