The Helen Woodward Animal Center is offering its annual Autumn Harvest Tours the whole month of October. These exciting tours are perfect for families with kids of all ages and for boy scout and girl scout troops.
The program is 90 minutes long and features “spooky” animals that are often misunderstood like snakes, toads, and hairless rats. This is a chance to learn about unusual animals and the tour includes a trip through the new Creepy Creature Cave. The tour costs $9 per child and everyone leaves with a newfound love of creepy creatures and a mini pumpkin from the Pumpkin Patch.
The Autumn Harvest Tours will also be hosting a special tour and fun Halloween Celebration at the end of the month. Come dressed in your costume for a costume contest, craft activities, carnival games, and pumpkin decorating. This special event is only on October 29th from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The tour is at 6461 El Apajo Road in Rancho Santa Fe.
