Rancho Santa Fe Community Youth Winter Session classes will be starting on January 10th. Don't forget to turn in your registration to secure your child's place in class!
The following non-athletic classes may interest your child. A Robotics and Builders Class will be offered by Club on Mondays afternoons. Geared for children in grades K-6, this class is a uniquely creative and technical class geared towards children interested in building and engineering. The class will consist of several small groups and is project-based. Students will enjoy erecting and ejecting everything from bottle rockets with parachute mechanisms and solar-powered cars and boats to remote-controlled robots that launch disks.
A beginning acting class is also being offered on Monday and Wednesday afternoons, teaching basic theatre skills (body, voice, face, imagination, and teamwork). A final presentation in front of an audience will conclude the class. Tuesday afternoons the Monart School of Arts will teach Drawing, as well. This system helps students with focus, concentration, decision-making, problem-solving, and hand-eye coordination. Students will learn there are no “mistakes” in art. Gymnastics, Skateboarding, Golf, Tennis, and Dance will also be offered, as usual, this session.
Also, if your child attended any Fall 2 sessions, you can receive a 5% discount when you fill out the Rancho Santa Fe Community Center survey. Registration can be done through the RSFCC website here or by calling 858.756.2461. A waiver is available on the website as well and must be filled out and submitted prior to class participation.
