The Rancho Santa Fe Library is a great place to relax and unwind this summer. Located at 17040 Avenida de Acacias in Rancho Santa Fe and open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., the library offers many special events throughout the summer. Movies, books, art and craft programs, preschool storytime, and even a magic show are scheduled for this summer.
The Summer Reading Program for children up to age 18 begins June 14 and runs through August 6, too! The Rancho Santa Fe Library has great books and art on display. This month’s featured Guild artist is Carol Dowling. The library even has a monthly book club for those seeking a new hobby this summer.
As a side note, Rancho Santa Fe history and architectural buffs will be happy to know that “Lilian J. Rice: Architect of Rancho Santa Fe, California” by Solana Beach author and resident Diane Y. Welch, was just published this month. To purchase this book, visit this link or amazon.com or visit the exhibit marking Rice’s historical contributions, held this Saturday, June 12 from 1-4 p.m. at the Solana Beach City Hall, at 635 S. Hwy 101 in Solana Beach.
