Beginning July 6 through August 24, Woody Wilson of Toastmasters International will conduct a free Youth Leadership program at the Rancho Santa Fe Community Center. Classes will be on Tuesdays from 4-5 p.m. Students will learn public speaking and leadership skills.
Similar in format to a traditional Toastmasters meeting, students learn to speak to a group and organize and structure ideas logically and persuasively. Other key skills our future Rancho Santa Fe leaders will gain are the ability to listen to others and differing viewpoints and the ability to provide thoughtful input. Students will learn how to organize the meetings while the coordinator provides related instruction and training.
Besides gaining valuable life skills, Rancho Santa Fe youth can benefit from listing this class on scholarship and academic applications, developing self-confidence, and from becoming better negotiators. Please RSVP to the Rancho Santa Fe Community Center if you have a child who is interested in attending.
