Rancho Santa Fe residents are invited to an event with best-selling author Jennie Fields on August 18.
Fields will be on hand to talk about and sign copies of her latest novel, The Age of Desire, a period piece set in the early 1900s, written from the perspective of two women, including famous writer Edith Wharton. The book is a glimpse at what life was like during the “Gilded Age” in America. Fans of Fields’ earlier historical novel, Paris Wife, will especially enjoy the new work.
The Rancho Santa Fe Library Guild’s Author Talk series goes beyond a typical book signing event, allowing participants the opportunity to spend some time over lunch with a popular writer. Participants enjoy a light lunch, beverages, and plenty of time for mingling with other fans.
Previous Author Talk guests have included Susan Vreeland and David Prybil, among many other recognizable names from both fiction and nonfiction genres.
Reserve your spot by email for this limited event, which will be held at a private residence in Rancho Santa Fe.
