On Saturday, November 26th, from 12 pm-3 pm, the Rancho Santa Fe Community Center is hosting its 1st Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Trot. Bring your family and friends who have stuck around after Thanksgiving to the Arroyo, the RSF Association property on El Vuelo. Work off all those Thanksgiving dinner calories by running a 5K fun run-mud run--a messy, laugh-inducing obstacle course. Don't forget to look for hidden prizes along the route. Kids can join in the fun in a 1K race just for them.
And the 5K and kids' races aren't the only fun to be had. Take part in some geocaching to exercise your treasure-hunting skills, or join a guided nature walk around the property's lake. Other options include a bonfire, bocce ball, BBQ, food trucks, live music, and many more activities. The event's sponsors will also have a presence at the event, so check them out for Christmas gift ideas.
Ticket sales are limited because of the small size of the Rancho Santa Fe property and to preserve its pristine beauty, so make sure to get your tickets soon. Come as a family or team of 4 for $40, or sign up as an individual for $20. Kids get in for just $10. You'll receive a commemorative t-shirt whether you brave the mud or not.
