15th Annual Heart of San Diego Gala

On February 25 from 6 pm to 11 pm, join other San Diego benefactors at the 15th Annual Heart of San Diego Gala to support the UC San Diego Sulpizio Cardiovascular Center. This year, proceeds from the event will help the Center to purchase a new Da Vinci Surgical System to aid surgeons in performing minimally invasive cardiovascular procedures. Randall E. Woods and Wendy Walker will be honored in recognition of their long-term support for the Center.

At 6 pm, begin the evening with a cocktail reception with the theme, "Glamorous New York and Hollywood." After the reception, the evening continues with dinner and dancing at 7:30 pm. During the reception, you'll have the opportunity to view and purchase exquisite jewelry from Antique & Estate Jewelry, Baron & Baroness Jewels. In recognition of the event's theme, a suite of jewels from the Elizabeth Taylor Estate will be available for purchase. The Cabochon Burma Ruby and Canary Diamond Necklace, Bracelet, Earrings, and Ring were a gift from Michael Jackson.

Sanjay Gupta, Emmy-Award-winning chief medical correspondent for CNN, will be Master of Ceremonies for the Gala. The evening calls for a black-tie or "glamorous attire" in keeping with the evening's theme. Purchase Ruby Seating for $500/seat or Diamond Seating for $650/seat. Sponsorship opportunities begin at $7,500.

The event will take place at the Park Hyatt Aviara Resort, 7100 Aviara Resort Drive, Carlsbad, California, 92011. For more information and to register for the Gala, visit the event website or contact Melissa FitzGerald, mrfitzgerald@ucsd.edu.
